MOUNTAINEER LODGE, Lake Louise

Mountaineer Lodge has rooms with two queen beds with pillow-top mattresses, duvet bedding, a microwave, mini fridge, free Wi-Fi, USB ports, coffee and tea, an iron and ironing board, and satellite TV. There are also Canadiana-inspired rooms and suites for guests with dogs on the ground floor. Family Rooms include two queen beds and a queen-sized sofa bed, a desk area, coffee and tea station, boot-dryers, iron & ironing board, microwave & mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, and a bathroom. The Mountaineer Suite is located in the Timber Building and includes a private bedroom with two queen beds, mini-fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, coffee and tea, iron/ironing board, air conditioning, free WiFi, and full bathroom. The Queen Explorer Suite and the King Explorer Suite, located in the Timber Building, each feature a private bedroom and a living room with a pull-out sofa bed, seating area, and electric fireplace. These suites also include a child's bunk bed area, mini-fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, coffee and tea, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a full bathroom.

A full continental breakfast buffet is available for guests every morning. The Breakfast Room, located on the lower level of the Timber Building across from the Main Lodge Building, features hand-painted murals of the European mountainside. The buffet includes hot items such as egg rounds with cheese, hash brown patties, sausage patties, bacon strips, and oatmeal, plus toast, bagels, and English muffins. Condiments include butter, sugar, honey, ketchup, hot sauce, mayonnaise, brown sugar, peanut butter, salt & pepper, cream cheese, and jam. Beverages include tea, milk, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, apple juice, ruby red grapefruit, cranberry cocktail, and iced tea. Gluten-free options are available upon request.

The Main Lodge Building has grand ceilings, wood interiors, and local wildlife mounts. It also houses an indoor hot tub. Guests can also use the steam room, ski waxing room, laundry facilities (washer/dryer), vending machines, and ski storage. A computer station with a desk and chair provides free Internet. There are also walking trails with mountain views on-site.

Mountaineer Lodge is located in downtown Lake Louise, 40 minutes west of Banff and 2 hours from Calgary via the Trans Canada Highway. From Calgary, take the 16th Ave W exit, which becomes Trans-Canada Hwy 1. Continue on Trans-Canada Hwy 1 to the Lake Louise exit. It is across the street from the Petro-Canada Gas Station. A free ski shuttle is available to Lake Louise Ski Resort during the winter. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are accessible by the free Park and Ride Connector. The Mountaineer Lodge is close to shopping and restaurants.

The Mountaineer Lodge offers free parking and free fiber-optic WiFi. Guests have access to guest laundry facilities and complimentary ski shuttle to Lake Louise Ski Resort during the winter season.
